About German movieposters

Following some general informations concerning German movieposters.

Size:

German movieposters were normally printed in two different sizes (1-sheet and 2-sheet). To see the difference between a German and an international movieposter, below you find an example for a German 1-sheet and an US 1-sheet.

German 1-sheet	US 1-sheet

Print Run:

Between 1950 - 1965 German 1-sheets were normally printed in a print run of 3.000 - 5.000 copies (exception: "Blockbusters" like "Gone with the wind" or "Ben Hur"). Beside the 1-sheet for a small group of movies 2-sheets in a run of 500 - 2.000 copies were printed and also two or even three different styles for one movie.
